Hope, redemption and the triumph of goodness! We're having a dramatic reading on Dec. 14th at 6:30 p.m. of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Join us for a community read-aloud of this classic, in a play written by Eggtooth Productions. Everyone,of all ages, is invited.There will be refreshments. Information, Arms Library: 413-512-3389. We are still using the bookdrop located outside, to the left of the front steps, of the Arms Library. We have a little cart to pull books to the Cooperative Bank. If during open library hours please drop your materials off with us in the bank's meeting room. Otherwise, the bookdrop it is! Our entrance is the outside meeting room door. We are open Mondays 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

LezcanoDuo2Mohawk Trail Concerts presents its first 'Music at the Arms' concert on Friday, September 28th at 12 noon, at the Arms Library in Shelburne Falls. The concert features Duo Mundo: Rebecca Hartka, cello, and Jose Lezcano, guitar. The concert is free, and the Arms Library is located at the corner of Bridge and Main Street, in the center of Shelburne Falls.

Cellist Rebecca Hartka and grammy-nominated guitarist and composer Jose Lezcano have been praised by American Record Guide for their "...subtle but effective unity of rubato...", and in Facts and Arts that their playing "displays a high degree of heart and tonal control". Duo Mundo was formed in 2014, and in March of 2017 the duo performed and gave master classes in Havana, Cuba, through the invitation of UNEAC.

Elqui trioMohawk Trail Concerts and the Arms Library presents Elqui trio with Scott Hill on guitar; Carlos Boltes on charanga and viola; and Gonzales Cortes on panpipes, quena and flute on October 13th at noon, as part of their CONCERTS AT THE ARMS 2017 - 2018 Season.

The Arms is located at the corner of Main and Bridge Streets in Shelburne Falls. The concert is being performed in the upper level rotunda. Please arrive early to allow time for seating. There is no charge but donations are accepted.
